Job Summary

Responsible for performing inbound/outbound movements and activities of materials by following Standard procedures/instructions of our distribution services. This includes the physical movement and electronic tracking of materials, in collaboration with other departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for storing, moving and handling finished goods that may be either hazardous or non-hazardous.

  • Perform receiving and shipping of finished goods based "pick list" perform respective finished goods transactions with accuracy.

  • Ensures and/or performs distribution center activities by following procedures and instructions, ensuring effective service to multiple internal departments.

  • Perform entries in the computer for inventory receiving, sub inventory transfer, order release, order ship confirmation in Oracle.

  • Ensure all finished goods in the distribution center are properly arranged and labelled in order for better traceability and identification.

  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing finished goods are verified for good condition, item number, and description, correct lot number, expiry date and quantity against document and moved to the respective locations in the warehouse.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, ability to work under pressure and extended hours of work when required.

  • Ensures inventory accuracy by processing accurate finished goods transfers within the distribution center to external vendors i.e. freight forwarder.

  • Ensures optimal housekeeping by following 5S requirements; maintain distribution center in a neat and safe manner; improves distribution center space usage ensuring finished goods are stored to maximize available spaces.

  • Maintain distribution center in good and proper condition following safety rules, including the handling of equipment for finished goods movement (i.e. forklift, reach truck, power pallet truck, hand truck, trolleys, knifes, stretch wrap machine), to inform group leader for any faulty or malfunction of tools or equipment for next action.

  • Ensure finished goods inventory are properly stored according to locations defined in Oracle system while protecting and avoiding finished goods damage.

  • Provide the necessary support during finished goods movement to and from distribution center area.

  • Segregate all non-conformance finished goods into quarantine location while waiting for disposition.

  • Carry out cycle counts periodically according to the schedule provided by the distribution centers leader in order to ensure inventory accuracy physical against Oracle system. Variance reconciliation and root cause finding with proper corrective actions taken and recorded.

  • Comply with all ISO 14001 requirements.

  • Comply with internal environmental management system requirements, as applicable.

  • Complies with all applicable regulations and company procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1 year related working experience

  • Working efficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel)

  • Working experience using computerized inventory control or distribution programs, such as (but not limited to) Oracle EBS, SAP, Precision, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks and lifts.

  • Experience working in a regulated industry.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated written communication skills

  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision

  • Possesses a high degree of initiative

  • Proactively approaches responsibilities

  • Knowledge in safe work practices
