Job Summary:
The Care Case Manager is a key member of the Office of Dean of Students at Bucknell University, responsible for fostering the educational mission by providing student support and outreach. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students, the Care Case Manager provides day-to-day case management and assists students with navigating difficult life events impacting their ability to be successful at Bucknell through advocacy, education and empowerment. The Care Case Manager will work closely with the Care Team, meets regularly with students, maintains student records and utilizes the case management software. The case manager serves as a primary point of contact for emergent and walk-in needs and consults, and provides support and referrals to campus resources. The case manager will provide campus outreach and support to increase awareness of the Care Team process including how and what to report. Serves as a member part of the on-call rotation. Some evenings and weekends are required.

This is a 12-month (40 hours a week), exempt (salary), benefits-eligible position based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties:
  • Manages a caseload of students providing outreach, support and guidance to each student focused on holistic student success.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student records and in accordance with FERPA, HIPAA and other mandates regarding student records.
  • Attends and participates in weekly Care Team meetings.
  • Manages the University Care database and works to improve efficiency and effectiveness using technology. Assists with case analysis and coordinates Care semesterly and annual reporting
  • Is a primary point of contact for students in distress in the Dean of Students Office.
  • Provides campus outreach to stakeholders on when and how to share a concern.
  • Serves on University and Division of Student Affairs committees and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

- Two years of experience in counseling, case management, social work or student affairs.

Preferred Qualifications

- A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling or related field.

- One year of experience with crisis management and on call response.

- Experienced user of CMS, and ability to quickly learn and utilize Symplicity Advocate CMS.

- Actively support the tenets of the University's mission to educate our students to serve the common good and to promote justice in ways sensitive to the moral and ethical dimensions of life.

44,660.00-55,750.00

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
