ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Email testing strategy - Establishing the cadence, test types and analysis of outcomes. This individual will work with several internal individuals and teams to execute the test strategies: the Email Marketing Manager to identify appropriate campaigns for the tests to take place, the internal creative team to develop the assets for testing and the Email Marketing Specialist to set up and deploy the campaign from Responsys

At the completion of a campaign, contrast the results of each version in terms of CTR, CTOR, the percentage of clicks on the marketing elements and other metrics.

Audience segmentation & audience growth strategies - Determining and applying the appropriate audience filters in order to deploy emails to the correct audience. This individual will also prioritize the methods by which additional subscribers are added to the audience which includes reengagement and onboarding strategies.

The Senior Email Marketing Specialist will also have ownership over the contact preference center, including a near term update as well as long term maintenance.

This individual will gain a deep understanding of the contact attributes, how they are stored and how they are used to determine email campaign audiences.

Reporting and Analysis - Responsible for maintaining existing campaign reporting databases, identifying trends that may inform testing concepts and providing insightful analysis.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Providing vacation/time off coverage for Email Marketing Specialist in coding, email campaign setup and deployment
• Providing QA support to Specialist to ensure accuracy of email functionality, rendering and tracking
• Executing email data integrity exercises including email verification of new lists and managing soft bounces
• Providing support of the transactional (triggered) email campaigns including new projects that require working with a 3rd party
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with key members of the Marketing team to most strategically execute the email component of omnichannel campaigns, including agreement on objectives, audiences and messaging
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with the Digital Project Managers and Digital Creative team to work collectively toward deadlines and resolve edits and issues in a timely manner
• Coaching and mentoring junior-level staff and interns
• Ensuring successful ESP configuration and consider adaptation of all product releases
• Documenting, training and communicating tool capabilities, internal processes and standard operating procedures
• Staying up-to-date on CAN-SPAM/GDPR laws

• 3+ Years Professional Experience
• Working knowledge of Email Marketing best practices, the ability to identify current industry trends and speak to email best practices regarding deliverability, user experience, US CAN-SPAM requirements
• At least 2 years experience actively working within Responsys or 3 years' experience in another email platform tool
• Proficient knowledge of HTML processing, CSS, Responsys AmpScript, and JavaScript preferred
• Working knowledge of advanced AND/OR logic and database querying such as SQL
• Knowledge of data flow concepts and strong data analysis skills required
• Understanding of File Transfer Protocols and web design concepts
• Experience using Adobe Analytics
• Experience pulling metrics & providing regular reporting as necessary
