Genex's Social Security Department provides Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) representation services for claimants who are referred predominantly by insurance carriers and self-insured employers. Our team of Social Security attorneys and specialized claims staff focus on early case intervention with consistently high award rates.



Responsibilities

We are looking for several Contract Attorneys who will be engaged on an as needed basis. Must be willing to travel locally to represent claimants in SSDI hearings. Desirable localities include: Missouri, Kentucky, Iowa, New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent claimants in administrative hearings before the Office of Hearing Operations (OHO), working from cases prepared by our internal team of attorneys.
  • Draft On-The-Record requests, Pre/Post hearing briefs and Appeal Council briefs;
  • Evaluate complex medical records and other pertinent case documents in relation to the current Social Security Rules & Regulations, Code of Federal Regulation, and applicable Circuit Caselaw.

Travel: The candidate must have the ability to travel throughout the local territory to represent claimants at hearings in person.

Submission Process: Interested applicants should submit a current resume and a writing sample (no longer than 3 pages).



Qualifications

Education: J.D. degree and be duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney under the laws of any State.

Licensure: Applicants must be an active member of the bar in good standing in at least one State.

Experience: 2+ years of direct representation experience in SSDI cases

Skills: Applicants must be highly organized, and have superior written and verbal communication skills.
