Job Description

What you will do

Johnson Controls' Industrial Refrigeration Automation Engineering group based in Waynesboro, PA, has a phenomenal position available for an Automation CAD Specialist. You will get the opportunity to provide CAD support for various product configurators and workflow enhancements, as well as updating design standards, training support, cost analysis, and automation improvements. Working together we will work across department lines to identify areas of engineering improvements, support innovative ideas, and generate solutions based on cost, schedule, and technical merit.

How you will do it

You will be working among a team of specialists who automate engineering tasks through the creation and maintenance of software and home-grown configurators. You'll use commercially available CAD and engineering software along with proprietary in-house engineering configuration tools to plan and develop tools to streamline workflows. You will prepare the engineering release of these tools for testing and feedback, incorporate any changes, and maintain the tools after release. This role supports existing product lines and new product development.

What you will need
Required

  • University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2-year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience creating 3D CAD models and 2D Drawings using Autodesk products, Bentley AutoPlant or similar.
