Summary/ Objective:

The Field Service Specialist plays a crucial role in creating value by facilitating the needs of the customer's job site. This includes but is not limited to ordering material, receiving material at the job site, providing material coordination, and agile construction practices at the job site. This individual is an important liaison between sales and operations. This person demonstrates all safe work practiced and delivers results that meet/exceed customer expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives
• Complete returns from the job site
• Maintain job site inventory
• Complete product requests through ordering, receiving, and shipping
• Conduct product inspection, and storage at the job site
• Flexible and adaptable, as priorities may change on short notice
• Work closely with Inside Sales and Purchasing
• Provide customer service and support as the main contact between Schaedler Yesco and job site personnel
• Build relationships with job site personnel
• Clean, stock and remove excess material/debris from work areas
• Deliver parts to needed areas of the site
• Receive and distribute deliveries as needed
• Keep work areas clean and orderly
• Deliver, unload, and stage materials on the site as needed

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position is a non-supervisory role

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in an outdoor setting with the balance of the time split between visiting various branches/warehouses and attending meetings. The Construction Field Specialist will be required to visit projects on various types of construction sites. When at job sites you may be exposed to varying temperature conditions depending on the location of the job site and associated weather.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. consistently
• Ability to operate lift truck equipment
• Ability to work an extended shift to complete work tasks as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods

Travel:

Local and regional travel is required to meet the demands of the position. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous customer service experience is required
• Previous distribution center experience preferred
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Knowledge of Eclipse is preferred
• Knowledge of handheld RF scanners is a plus
• Forklift operating experience required
