The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 2-0 is looking for a Permits Intern for the 2024 Summer Employment Program who will assist the Permits Unit with integrating old microfilm Permits to the Electronic Permitting System. The student will have the responsibility of scanning, filing, tracking, and documenting the permits that have been processed. In order to complete these tasks, the student will collaborate with either the Permits Manager or the Permits Supervisor. Additionally, the student will provide customer service by assisting with phone calls and offering support in other office-related tasks as required. This may include working on projects associated with the District's Permits Office. The student will also be involved in various office functions, such as utilizing computer software for spreadsheets, word documents, and specific Department computer systems that are relevant to the regulations and policies of the Highway Permits Office.
