Position Summary & Responsibilities

Resilience is ushering in an era of"Biomanufacturing-as-a-Service"that we expect will displace in-house manufacturing as well as traditional contract manufacturing and development organizations (CDMOs). We see this as a paradigm shift in biomanufacturing akin to the IT industry's adoption ofInfrastructure-as-a-Service(IaaS) andPlatform-as-a-Service(PaaS) that rendered obsoletecorporate-owned/operateddata centers or corporate servers co-located in hosting facilities.

The Senior Engineer of Dev Ops andData Engineering shall be part of the global Resilience Digital team, supporting research, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality. You will be developing modern data engineering and analytics solutions for the biotech/pharma industry using AWS data services and other industry standard or open source/enterprise tools. Prior experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit data is a must, with extensive experience in developing DevOps pipelines, automating data pipelines, and integration with a variety of SaaS & self-hosted systems such as Benchling, D365, PAS X, Labvantage, Ignition, and Novatek.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with business stakeholders to design and develop modern platforms for accelerating research, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Building and implementing modern data architectures such as knowledge graphs
  • Working with AWS technologies such as Greengrass, Data Sync, Storage Gateway, Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Relational Database Service (RDS), and Amazon Redshift
  • Developing and designing with modern languages and technologies such as Python, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Neo4J, REST APIs, microservices, containers, and Apache Ignite.
  • Partner with business leaders in the organization to discover their needs and build data focused solutions enabling and accelerating outcomes in research and development
  • Analyzing and designing new business processes into digital applications
  • Responsible for CloudWAN development and deployment to provide Resilience with site to site to cloud connectivity
  • Lead engineering teams and work with partner digital members to ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule, priorities, and business objectives
  • Deeply understand software and systems design to develop data solutions which solve previously unsolvable problems with minimal guidance in an agile manner as per roadmap and business guidance
  • Provides direction for the development of prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrations to address business needs.
  • Integrate scientific applications with other scientific or nonscientific applications.
  • Responsible for development of tools using IaaC (AWS CDK) best practices and standards for development and deployment including service-oriented architecture, reusable code, usability, and security controls.

Qualifications

  • Experience in building and deploying network technology.
  • Track record of successfully working with cross-functional teams - business users, project managers, etc. to build advanced data focused solutions.
  • Exceptional and well-practiced communication (verbal, written, listening), inter-personal skillsensuring the ability to interact with the business, peers, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with high sense of urgency and drive for result to produce innovation, agility, and velocity to support business-as-usual operations and new project implementation and administration.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field of study
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in IT technologies including proficiency in AWS services or equivalent
  • Software development experience with developing, releasing, and maintaining modern data and advanced analytics applications and systems on AWS
  • Knowledge of proper documentation practices for network and infrastructure design
  • Knowledge of GxP change control processes
  • Knowledge and experience with data lakes, cloud data storage and cloud object data storage preferred.
  • Knowledge of modern programming languages and REST APIs, C#, Java, Python, or other programming experience required.
  • Experience with big data technologies and knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage, compute, and analysis
  • Extensive experience developing lab automation solutions and integration with lab equipment and solutions

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $150,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
