Primary Responsibilities:
The Sterile Processing amp; Case Cart Manager is responsible for leading the full range of sterile processing services within SPCC, oversees departmental performance, and analyzes effectiveness of departmental processes. Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Director of Sterile Processing amp; Perioperative Patient Outcomes, this leader contributes to the development and execution of the vision for clinical excellence; ensures that high quality services are provided; and leads operational functions at top levels of efficiency. The role requires a full scope of knowledge to perform all aspects of sterile processing at an advanced level. The Sterile Processing and Case Cart Manager will monitor the performance of staff, supervisors and assistant managers with respect to compliance and safety, ensuring that standards of operation are in compliance with professional regulatory and accrediting body standards. This leader will interface with various stakeholders interacting with the SPCC department, i.e., leaders, surgeons and staff from the operating rooms, patient care floors, and procedural suites, facilities, environmental services, infection control clinicians, the biomedical department, vendors, supply chain management personnel, and so on. This leader bears responsibility for ensuring smooth interdepartmental processes and managing relationships with these stakeholders.
