Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and providing maintenance service and repairs in all facets of the business. This commitment involves not only ensuring that each team member has what they need daily, it extends to the overall job satisfaction and career path of everyone in their area throughout their time with Pace Industries.The Maintenance Supervisor role is to improve workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential failures through planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access, using a maintenance system software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs the work of others, spanning several operational areas to fully accommodate maintenance needs including absenteeism.
• Manages Associates time and attendance according to company policies and procedures.
• Assists Manager by identifying work procedures, preparing work schedules, and expediting workflow. Issues written and oral instructions to Area Leaders.
• Keep updated master equipment list.
• Manage preventive activities through BLIS and/or current maintenance planning software as is applicable to the location/plant.
• Update equipment failures reported and/or handled through departmental audits and maintenance department activities.
• Perform failures analysis with the maintenance department manager, along with all departments in order to update routines to minimalize failures.
• Modify and update maintenance routines based in failures analysis.
• Place into the system requisitions for spare parts, tools and external services.
• Maintains records and maintenance files to support the plant quality system.
• Generate and publish maintenance metrics.
• Involve oneself in external and internal audits.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for repairs and services, serve as primary contact / oversee their activities.
• Coordinate with Floor supervisors regarding open Work orders and PM prioritization with Production in mind.
• Serve as a back-up for the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Specialist during time off or away from the Site
• Review and delegate PM's accordingly to maintenance personal
• General support in activities requested by Maintenance Manager.
• Attends daily production meeting to review current order status, any issues and/or changes that are required, known downtime or quality issues and report out on project status.
• Monitor's training plans for each individual and meets monthly to review progress, removes roadblocks to ensure continued growth and development.
• Ensures team members are continuously learning and cross-training to develop a flexible workforce.
• Conducts Associate performance reviews, identifies performance gaps and creates a development plan.

Position Requirements:

• Degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, plant maintenance, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Aluminum die cast or plastic mold injection experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience such as 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping, preferred.
• Ability to work with ERP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
