What You Will Do:

As Gannett Fleming continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a resourceful Architectural Designer to advance their career within our growing Pennsylvania Architectural Studio.

We are looking for someone to sit in our Harrisburg, PA (company headquarters) studio.

In this role, you will need to be a motivated designer with a positive attitude to support architectural teams and multi-disciplined design efforts. You will be working on projects for national and statewide government agencies focused to improve the public sector. As Architectural Designer, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept designs for projects and proposals.
  • Prepare architectural working drawings and related project documents.
  • Lead or assist in preparation of project specifications.
  • Coordinate construction administration activities such as the review of shop drawings, response to requests for information, and running construction meetings.
  • Work collaboratively and positively in a team environment.
  • Produce conceptual renderings for project and presentation purposes.
  • Be willing to expand your skills and grow professionally.
Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in Architecture is required. B.Arch or Master of Architecture degree is preferred.
  • 1-5 years minimum experience in an architectural office is preferred.
  • Ability to produce construction documents with an eye towards project management and managerial growth.
  • Desire to be a leader.
  • High proficiency in REVIT Building Information Modeling Architecture with experience in both design and construction documentation is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu is required.
  • Strong graphic skills and experience with 3D Modeling software such as Sketch-Up Pro or similar is desired.
  • Experience with 3D Rendering software such as Lumion 3D, Enscape or similar is desired.
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of current International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE etc.
  • Candidate must be dynamic, creative and detail oriented.
  • Candidate must be able to work effectively in team situations establishing strong working relationships.
  • Knowledge of the following building types is desired: transit, transportation, government (federal, state, local)
