Under the supervision of the Supervisor Staffing Coordination, the Patient Dispatcher is responsible for the effective coordination and monitoring of patient transport services activities through timely and accurate handing of requests and continued status updates to ensure completion of assignments.

Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to makeAMH the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees. Supports the mission of
the institution to meet or exceed the internal or external customer utilizingestablished standards of behavior.

Exhibits excellent telephone etiquette, listening amp; interpersonal skills to ensureprioritization of tasks dispatched. Promotes positive effective customer service
relations with customers and transporters.

Utilizes effective dispatching logic in prioritizing tasks, dispatching assignmentsto the appropriate personnel in order of availability and proximity while
maximizing productivity.

Notifies coordinator of potential issues, needs and/or concerns. Ensurescompliance with policies and procedures for departmental operations.

Ensures proper operation of Team Chimes hardware, software programs, pageand phone handling systems; is able to troubleshoot and work with Information
Systems and vendor. Troubleshoot issues with software and technical equipmentsuch as phone handling, pager handling, etc.

Assists in orienting, training and developing all levels of transporters.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum one year scheduling or administrative experience or one year transporter experience.

High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

CPR preferred.

Computer experience required; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel.
