Job Summary:
The Campus Activities and Programs (CAP) Center Administrative Assistant reports to the Associate Dean of Students and provides support to CAP Center professional staff including the Associate Dean of Students, the Director of Outdoor Education and Leadership (OEL), the Director of Campus Activities and Student Media, and Assistant Directors of Campus Activities and Programs in the daily operation of the office. Additionally, the CAP Center Administrative Assistant creates marketing materials, inputs events into the Events Management System, and prints CAP Center and student organization materials for campus events. The Administrative Assistant oversees the Elaine Langone Center Box Office, Student Mall Sales, and CAP Center Student Ambassadors. They will also assist the Associate Dean of Students and CAP Center staff in important divisional responsibilities, such as assessment, pre-orientation coordination, and financial processes. Responsibilities include the implementation of social events and leadership development programs for the campus community including the publicity and contract preparation for each event. The Administrative Assistant handles sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with and support diverse students, student groups, staff and faculty.

This is a 12-month (35 hours a week), non-exempt (hourly), benefits-eligible position based in Lewisburg, PA.

The salary range for the position is $17.16 - $21.45/hour. The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidates credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.

Job Duties:

-Manage the daily front office operations of the CAP Center including, but not limited to, answering student and parent phone calls, responding to inquiries including answering emails and managing walk-ins.

-Assist in the coordination of the ongoing development of the current information systems and implementation of new system(s), including Anthology's Engage platform and the box office ticketing system.

-Create, design, and coordinate marketing materials for Campus Activities and Programs events, including assisting with social media marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:
-High School diploma
-Three years of progressively more responsible administrative positions
-Solid customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in an active work environment.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google drive, with the ability to learn new programs including Event Management System (EMS), Anthology's Engage platform, reporting systems, Canva, and website maintenance.
-Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work with diverse, energetic, talented, college age students.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Demonstrated organizational skills including the ability to work independently or in a group.
-Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
-Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information in a professional manner.

-Bachelor's degree.
-Previous work experience in a higher education setting.
