Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Department Educator has advance knowledge and skills and demonstrates a high degree of clinical competency in Sterile Processing. The SPD Educator promotes and supports the use of industry standards and is responsible for partnering with the leadership team in planning, implementing, and appraisal of the orientation technical competency for all sterile processing technicians and hospital based practices where surgical instruments are processed. The SPD Educator is responsible for the department Quality Assurance Programs and SPD policies and procedures.

Education: |
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelorrsquo;s Degree Preferred Graduate of certified sterile processing technician training program |

Experience: |
Minimum experience of 5 yrs. in the sterile processing field. Minimum one-year previous management/leadership experience preferred. |
