We are currently seeking an Associate Product Manager (APM) to join our Product Management Team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in product management or an interest to learn product management. Primary product responsibilities will be in our Enclosed Storage Product Category which consists of storage cabinets and workcenters. The ideal candidate will be both a structured thinker and have vision for where to take their products They will have incredible passion but will also have firm follow-through. They will be both a people person and deeply interesting products. Good communication skills are critical to work with the entire cross section of the corporation (engineering, marketing, sales, finance, operation, and support functions) and with channel partners and customers of all types. They will have the EQ to pushy but with a smile, to know when to hold fast, and when to let one slide.

Responsibilities:

The Associate Product Manager manages one or more assigned Products in support of Product Development, Product Innovation, Sales, Profit, Quality, Availability, and Service Goals. It is a highly visible developmental role for an individual interested in a career in Product Management.

  1. Executes Strategies in alignment with Product Category to achieve Product Vision
  2. Develops Plans to Execute Product Strategies
  3. Contributes to Product Roadmap Development
  4. Drives Product Innovation within the Product Offering
  5. Develops New Products through the Corporate Stage Gate Process
  6. Is the Product Expert and Manages Products Assigned
  7. Sets Pricing for Products Assigned
  8. Executes Product Lifecycle Planning Activity for Products Assigned (NPD thru EOL)
  9. Collaborates with Marketing, Sales, and Brand Management on Product Marketing Efforts
  10. Collaborates with Marketing, Sales, and Brand Management on Product Promotion Efforts
  11. Trains Sales, Channel, and End Users on Products Assigned
  12. Attends Trade Shows and Represents Products Assigned
  13. Gathers Data and Conducts Product Analysis (Sales, Profits, Usage, Market, Customer)
  14. Gathers Market Data and Conducts Market Analysis
  15. Gathers and Analyses Competitive Information and Data
  16. Understands End Users of Product
  17. Understands End Users' Jobs-to-be-Done
  18. Supports Product Quota Setting Process
  19. Supports Achievement of Sales Goals of Products
  20. Supports Achievement of Product Profit Goals
  21. Supports Achievement of Product Quality Goals
  22. Supports Achievement of Product Availability Goals
  23. Supports Customer Service, Sales, and Customers with Product and Application Knowledge

Qualifications:

* 0-5 years of experience in a marketing, product management, engineering, or other relevant role

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or other relevant major

* Excellent communications, organizational, project management, and mathematical skills

* Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas:

o New Product Development

o Customer field research (ex: ethnographic research)

o Product marketing

o Industry-specific work experience (i.e., Commercial Laboratory, Foodservice, Healthcare)
