Job Description

* This position assumes Packaging/Retail area expertise and provides guidance, recommendation, and mentoring to support the successful operations within the Packaging/Retail arena.
* Effectively and efficiently operate equipment relevant to the Bulk & Retail line operations, including various equipment/machines.
* Supports the Retail operations in view of employee absences.
* Demonstrate knowledge of Bulk and Retail quality/processing documentation requirements.
* Remains abreast of procedural documentation updates to maintain Bulk and Retail proficiency related to, but not limited to: start-ups/shutdowns, troubleshooting.
* Acquires applicable chemical training to safety operate the chemical foamer.
* Responsible for the successful completion of Master Sanitation schedules.
* Assist supervisors with administrative duties as required (i.e., MES, tracking downtime, job assignments, staffing, Red Prairie, etc.).
* Assume a leadership role for determining problem-solving solutions which reduce costs, enhance line reliability, ensure quality, maximize yields, and minimize material usage.
* Prepare work area and equipment ensuring that the necessary materials are staged and the appropriate level of inventory is maintained to meet the production needs.
* Communicate and coordinate work team activities with other departments.
* Perform operator duties and line relief as necessary to ensure continuous operations.
* Facilitate area wide implementation and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.
