Please note, this is a part time position, working 40 hours bi-weekly.

Primary Responsibilities: Consults the Executive Chef or Food Production manager on daily production planning and assists with distribution of production tasks. Prepares hot foods and salad platters for patient tray line, cafeteria, and catering according to recipes and number of portions ordered. Responsible for sanitation in the food production area. Uses safe food handling practices in the preparation and storage of food items.

Essential Functions: Consults with Food Production Manager on daily production planning and assists with distribution of production tasks. Aids Food Production Manager with instruction on procedures and scheduling of production. Reads menus to estimate food requirements and procures necessary food from storage. Team leader in food production area. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Two years of experience as a cook or in food production
