About the Department of Communication
Students in Drexel University's Department of Communication gain broad theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience as they work toward successful careers in public relations, journalism, and countless areas in which communication skills are essential. We offer three distinct concentrations: Public Relations, Journalism and a flexible, general Communication concentration. Students gain up to 18 months of real-word career experience in the co-op program. At the graduate level, the Department offers a Master in Strategic and Digital Communication. The department also offers a Master of Science in Communication, Culture and Media as well as a Doctorate in Communication Culture and Media.
Job Summary
The adjunct faculty member will bring all their academic and professional expertise in the subject matter to the classroom and will employ a variety of strategies to foster student learning and discussions, as well as encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper course-related records, and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback as to the progress toward meeting the objectives of the course. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom or online. Responsibilities may include teaching days or evenings, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or a combination of both.
