The Dispersion Equipment Operator ensures the effective execution of the Daily Build Plan and the efficient manufacture of dispersion-based coatings and adhesives products, assuring an uninterrupted supply of quality products to customers. The Dispersion Equipment Operator is a well-trained production operator that supports the West Dispersions area of the plant.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely, efficiently, and cleanly operate West area equipment to remove queue and meet schedule needs.
  • Read batch cards, manufacturing instructions, SOP's, and supporting documents.
  • Record process parameters as directed by batch documentation.
  • Complete inspections as directed by equipment documentation.
  • Use SAP to accurately record inventory and material use.
  • Coordinate and support project goals.
  • Read and update reconciliation reports.
  • Monitor and replenish oven-loaded inventory as necessary to meet schedule deadlines.
  • Support training of new operators.
  • Use effective time management to maximize output and reduce cycle time.
  • Work in a team environment with supervisors, co-workers, other departments to help improve overall effectiveness.
  • Operate forklifts and drum trucks (two-wheel, four-wheel, handcarts).
  • Use grind gauges and thermometers.
  • Stand (up to 95% of the time), bend 90 degrees (up to 50% of the time), walk (up to 75% of the time), push/pull (up to 75% of the time), lift (up to 50% of the time), and climb stairs (up to 25% of the time).
  • Lift/carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds (up to 50% of the time).
  • Work in all weather conditions.

Work Experience

Required

  • Eight months Parker Lord Chemical experience and documented completion of the Parker Lord Manufacturing Assistant training program or two years of chemical production experience.

Education

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status
