The Immunodeficiency Center (IDC), the HIV program at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, provides comprehensive HIV services to adults living with or at risk of HIV, including medical treatment, mental and behavioral health care, medical case management, outreach, home care nursing, and HIV prevention. The tight-knit interdisciplinary team aims to provide holistic, evidence-based, and patient-centered services to support people living with HIV to optimize their health and well-being.
The HIV Mental Health Services Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, provision, and support of mental and behavioral health services delivered to adults living with HIV by the IDC. The position works closely with program leadership (Program Director, Program Manager, Medical Director) to ensure the delivery of high quality, trauma-informed, and compassionate mental and behavioral health services. The position directly supervises the mental health counselor, provides clinical supervision to medical case managers and other staff/interns as needed, supports the screening of mental/behavioral health conditions and provision of services, and liaises with the psychiatrist and medical providers on treatment planning and care coordination. The position also has some administrative responsibilities with management of grants that support behavioral health services.
