What success looks like in this role:

Integration

  • Partner cross-functionally with M&A deal leads to perform operational due diligence, deal structuring, and lead end-state integration planning and execution including organizational design, operating metrics, integration risks, etc.

  • Lead M&A activities for the business unit in support of Corporate Development, and support the development of integration templates, deal scorecards, and codifying best practices

  • Establish cross-functional relationships with due diligence leads and quarterback M&A integration from the business unit standpoint in support of the Global Services Team

  • Build knowledge of the target organization and develop relationships with leadership and staff of target organization as necessary

  • Identify and propose process improvements across the business unit to continuously improve the M&A process and other growth initiatives

  • Align strategic initiatives between newly acquired entities with DWS BU Strategy

Strategic Initiatives

  • Proactively identify, define, and champion new growth and performance improvement opportunities

  • Drive key strategy projects and orchestrate workstreams; own overall efforts, including project plans, recommendations, impact, and driving alignment between leaders and commitment to deliver between individual product organizations

  • Partner with stakeholders to grow and optimize their business verticals by making data-driven, actionable recommendations that help them achieve their long-term strategic priorities

  • Contribute to Corporate Development for strategy building, including the sourcing of opportunities for M&A, Investments and Partnerships

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis to support leadership decision-making and manage strategic initiatives from inception to successful completion

Alliances

  • Develop global alliances/partnerships strategy in support of the Vice President of Solutions Management including identification of key partners and partnership opportunities

  • Understand partner ecosystems, partner business models, needs of partners and DWS solutions to uncover opportunities and craft partner specific solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to negotiate, launch, and activate partnerships

  • Build relationships with C-Suite and senior level management at existing partners, engendering trust, confidence, loyalty, awareness and mutual benefit.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • 4 Year degree in Business management or IT

  • MBA Perferred

  • Professional experience in investment banking, private equity and/or corporate development with direct M&A experience

  • With very limited supervision, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and facilitate strategic processes from start to finish by coordinating and leading internal and external cross-functional teams

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience in making presentations and communicating ideas and plans to senior executives

  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership, critical thinking and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities on various projects

  • High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work product

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Analytical skill, with the ability to analyze and integrate meaningful data

  • Solid financial acumen or business background

  • Experience in DWS/EUX Sector
