Your Mission:

This position is responsible for developing the strategic direction for direct and/or indirect procurement. This includes strategy development, understanding key market drivers, contract negotiations, managing supplier relationships as well as daily material requirements. The candidate must apply a proactive approach, have a high sense of urgency, and work collaboratively with all business units. Ensuring high-quality and cost-effective products are delivered on time is essential to this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/propose/execute forward looking strategy
  • Stakeholder alignment
  • Contract Negotiation
  • Identify cost savings opportunities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities (role specific)
  • Prioritize requirements/responsibilities and communicate to applicable organizations or suppliers
  • Order Management (Issue/Confirm/Expedite)
  • Inventory Management
  • Critical thinking/problem solving
  • Other duties/projects as assigned

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Supply Chain Management
  • Equivalent years of relative work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years overall experience
  • Experience in operations and sourcing
  • Experience using MRP system (SAP/M3 preferred)
  • Analytical and systems capabilities
  • Competencies required: High sense of urgency, takes ownership, proactive planer/problem solver, customer oriented, excellent organizational skills,ability to work with minimal guidance, highly analytical, team player with strong communication skills
