Regional Sales Manager-Northeast Region

Position title: Regional Sales Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Sales

Department: Sales

Location: Northeast - New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia & West Virginia

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, engaging, developing and securing commitments for equipment sales and analytical instrumentation rentals.
  • Managing existing relationships and working to identify new rental partners.
  • Delivering sales results that meet or exceed sales goals established by your management team.
  • Managing existing key accounts within region to ensure YOY rental volume growth.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Participating in promotional events, trade shows and industry associations within your region
  • Serving as a responsible fiscal steward - managing your time, travel, expenses, and effort like an owner
  • Consistently growing your knowledge base and your network - professional development, community involvement, and personal growth
  • Maintaining your future and current accounts in your CRM to document sales related activities - it's just gotta be done!

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must reside in the region of responsibility.

Education Or Formal Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in chemistry, environmental science, math, or engineering.

Experience:

  • 1+ year of professional experience working in environmental consulting, hydrology, laboratory research or geoscience industry.
    • Technical curiosity - you are driven to figure out how things work and tinker with mechanical things in your spare time.
    • Experience with public speaking or presenting to a small group.
    • You truly enjoy working with people and helping them solve technical problems.
    • You are comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of technical sales experience preferred.

Supervisory Duties:

  • None


Working Environment/Physical Activities:

  • 50%+ travel
  • Ability to traverse in the natural environment.
  • Ability to lift minimally 10 lbs.


Total Rewards:


Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data and internal comps.


Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000


Variable compensation structure/potential: Targeted at 30%+ of salary at 100% of target completion, with accelerated variable compensation for exceeding the sales target.
