Sr Material Handler Saxonburg -M-F 6am-2:20pm

Sr. Material Handler - Saxonburg - Day Shift 6:00 am - 2:20 pm

This mid-level position for general warehouse and materials management is responsible for the physical and transactional movement of material supporting a manufacturing plant, or service logistics operation. The scope of these responsibilities will occur within one or more material logistics functions (Warehousing, Receiving, Material Handling, and Shipping, or PS site specific responsibility such as pre-sterile material management). This role has increased demonstrated technical and LIFE expectations across multiple disciplines within materials.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Sr. Material Handler, are:

  • Advanced understanding of multiple warehouse and materials functions;
  • Following of all documented processes and procedures;
  • Physical transport of materials and timely and accurate completion for all required SAP transactions using appropriate PPE and material handling equipment;
  • Finished product packaging using visual work instructions according to all regulatory requirements;
  • Completion of all required transactional steps to receive and ship material;
  • Identifying, defining and implementing process improvement or cost savings activities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED);
  • 1+ years of experience in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain;
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of MicroSoft (MS) Office applications;
  • Able to operate independently;
  • Demonstrate problem solving abilities;
  • Support strong attention to detail;
  • Able to work in team environment;
  • Able to quickly learn new Information Technology (IT) systems and tools;
  • SAP proficiency in daily transactions in one primary logistic function.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • The ability to learn to Operate a powered industrial truck (fork truck), as needed.
