Position Summary

The Metrologist Technician is responsible for ensuring all measurement and test equipment is calibrated and the calibration system is maintained in accordance with the procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure all measurement and test equipment is calibrated on a timely basis. Includes performing calibrations internally and sending equipment out for calibration.
  • Maintain the calibration database including status, location, history and schedule of all M&TE. Also maintain files of calibration records / validation data.
  • Coordinates with Quality and Engineering managers to reconcile gages found to be out-of-tolerance.
  • Maintain and generate procedures related to calibration as necessary.
  • Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
  • Maintain certifications of calibration vendors to assure they are in compliance with our requirements.

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Vocational degree preferred
  • 2-5 years experience. Prior exposure to an ISO quality system is a plus
