Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory team the Facility Planning & Controls Unit, as an entry level engineer. In this role you will assist in the project management of the Spent Fuel Handling Recapitalization Project (SFHP) and Naval Examinations Project (NEAP) projects at the Naval Reactors Facility.
As part of a cross-site team, the successful candidate will administer and maintain the existing SFHP project management tools, processes, and systems used by the Project Management Team to manage this major construction project. These tools include, but are not limited to, the Integrated Master Schedule, Open Items System, Earned Value Management Software, Risk and Opportunity Management, Management reserve, and other performance measurement tools.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following: generate reports and analysis of the data housed in the project management tools, provide project management support to new and existing projects and programs, coordinating, supporting, and facilitating project/process meetings, mentoring and training project team members, stakeholders, and junior project support personnel on project management processes, assessing project or program performance and recommending resources or skills needed to supplement project core team, and supporting the preparation and presentation of periodic reviews with management and stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field.
Experience with project management, production operations, construction projects, and/or production support operations.
Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and Access.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
