The Senior Analyst - Global Tax will specialize in tax compliance and reporting, transfer pricing and cross border transactions, and will play a critical role in assisting Westinghouse with navigating the complex international tax landscape and optimizing our tax strategies. You will work closely with a group of experienced tax professionals who deliver tax strategies and solutions that address Westinghouse's unique needs while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions in the Americas, Asia, and EMEA.

Your Day to Day:

  • Download, analyze, and prepare data from SAP and other sources for tax reporting and compliance.
  • Manage the quarterly transfer pricing processes and liaison with the Global Shared Service Center for the preparation of intercompany invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, including Master Files, Local Files, and Country-by-Country Reporting.
  • Prepare calculations and workpapers to support book to tax adjustments, transfer pricing adjustments / entries, and other calculations (e.g., R&D credit, tax depreciation, UNICAP, etc.).
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end income tax provision calculations and related documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of various U.S. informational reporting forms (e.g., Forms 1042, W-8BEN-E, 8802)
  • Prepare calculations and models for U.S. tax reporting enacted under the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act ("TCJA") (e.g., BEAT, FDII)
  • Compile and prepare workpapers for the quarterly audit by Westinghouse's independent auditor.
  • Manage requests and communications from external tax advisors during compliance processes for Americas and Asia.
  • Perform technical research (including research related to U.S. tax treaties and treatment of cross-border transactions) with the opportunity to develop writing skills by preparing memoranda and internal communication supporting tax positions.
  • Provide support for responses to tax notices and defense during tax audits.
  • Stay abreast of changes in international tax laws and regulations and their application to Westinghouse.
  • Assist with implementing best practices, processes and technology improvements.
  • Manage budget tracking and advisor fees for U.S. cost centers.
  • Assist with mentoring and teaching summer interns and analysts on rotation in Global Tax from the Westinghouse Financial Leadership Development Program ("FLDP").

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 4+ years of corporate income tax experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or multinational company required. Experience with non-U.S. reporting, cross-border tax matters, and transfer pricing a considerable plus but not required.
  • CPA a considerable plus but not required
  • Experience with preparing U.S. federal income tax filings. Experience with non-U.S. income tax filings a considerable plus.
  • Broad technical knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax law and ASC 740 tax accounting.
  • Conversational knowledge of transfer pricing a plus but not required
  • Strong Excel skills, proficient with other Microsoft Office programs. Experience with SAP, OneSource Tax Provision and Compliance, and Alteryx a plus.
