Perform animal husbandry, database management, and provides assistance in animal experiments.
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
Provide animal care to a colony comprising several transgenic mouse strains. Duties include animal weaning, maintenance of animal health and enrichment, collection of samples and genotyping.
Maintain the animal database, recording animal lineage, strain, age, and experimental designations.
Assist in running animal experiments. Duties include administering experimental agents, collecting samples, and performing microbiological techniques including immunofluorescence, Western blot, and qPCR.
Keep detailed, accurate, and timely data and logbooks. Organize and documents results.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours.
