Overview

Has overall responsibility for a single manufacturing facility | Directs all aspects of production activity at the assigned plant to ensure that the desired quantities and quality of products are manufactured on schedule in a safe manner at minimum cost | May be responsible for Accounting, Human Resources and other staff functions.

Major Position Responsibilities
    Directs manufacturing operations and management teams for plants and locations of an organization that support business goals.
  • Incorporates the organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitors production metrics and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Drives workforce planning activities and approves/ allocates resources based on business priorities.
  • Implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes.
  • Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Business or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/ or Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred
  • 8-10 years experience in a relevant function
  • Leadership skills.
  • Capacity planning.
  • Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
  • Manufacturing operations management.
  • Process optimization.
  • Resource planning. Risk management.
  • Safety policies and procedures.
  • Performance metrics.
  • Organizational goal setting.
  • Strategic planning.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Team building. ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
