Position Title: Sr. EHS Specialist
Position Location: Huntsville, AL

Position Description:

The EHS Specialist will drive the development and execution of site EHS goals as well as help lead the EHS strategy. This person will coordinate with the location leadership and assigned EHS leadership to drive implementation of processes, systems, and program to ensure compliance, and continuous improvement projects that will steadily improve EHS performance.

Essential Duties:

  • Leads and supports implementation of corporate EHS systems and standards at the location with direction of EHS leadership.
  • Leads and supports management of applicable environmental programs (air, water, waste, etc.) by collecting data and helping to assure reports, inspections and samples are completed timely.
  • Coordinates with and supports EHS leadership with implementing critical EHS programs at the location. (lockout, mobile equipment, electrical fall prevention, etc.)
  • Assists with development of and drives implementation and execution of injury prevention plans
  • Leads and supports location fatality and serious injury prevention team and developing action plans to eliminate risks.
  • Develops and conducts EHS training to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Leads and supports incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coaches and mentors' frontline supervisors on executing their EHS roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to complete other duties as assigned by EHS leadership.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS or closely related field
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an EHS discipline
  • Knowledge of state, local and government EHS related requirements
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
