As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Operations Superintendent to lead a team of Supervisors and achieve optimal performance while ensuring the personal development of a highly engaged team.

Role Overview:

As an Operations Superintendent, you are a pivotal leadership figure within our dynamic production environment, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. You have a commanding grasp of management principles and process improvement methodologies akin to Lean Manufacturing. You will lead over 100 direct and indirect staff. Your role is crucial in nurturing a culture emphasizing ethics, integrity, and stewardship. Your ability to identify and drive continuous improvement across various functions sets you apart as a leader dedicated to excellence.

Who you are:

  • Proven experience managing a large team within a production or manufacturing setting (ideally in protein, perishable, poultry, beef, or dairy products).
  • Strong background in process improvement, with a preference for expertise in Lean Manufacturing or similar methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, capable of developing and motivating teams to meet and exceed operational targets and standards. You have a servant leadership mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for fostering collaboration across various departments.

What You Will Do:

  • Guide a team of Supervisors, ensuring they achieve peak performance and personal growth within a highly engaged team atmosphere.
  • Direct your team in meeting area-specific KPIs and core company values. You will ensure all operations align with customer demands and quality standards, including HACCP and SQF.
  • Actively identify areas for enhancement across the organization and lead cross-functional teams to bolster company initiatives. Develop and implement standard operating procedures that enhance operational efficiency and control.
  • Develop robust training programs and coaching sessions to enhance team capabilities and ensure adherence to our strict quality and performance standards.
  • Engage in and sometimes lead cross-functional groups to support broad company initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to organizational challenges.

Education
High School or GED (required)
Bachelors (preferred)

Experience
Leadership experience process improvements (preferred)
5 - 8 years: Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
