In this position, you will evaluate, plan, and provide public health education services relating to the collection and reporting of vital events. You will also evaluate trends in rejections and develop forms and correspondence aimed at improving stakeholder compliance. In this role, you will conduct surveys and studies, perform field and desk audits, and otherwise engage the vital events community to provide education, develop strategies to improve timeliness and quality, and promote standardization of public health vital event data collection and reporting.
In addition, you will provide administrative support to the Director of Statistical Registries by assisting in the development of quality assurance initiatives; facilitating the adoption of recommendations made by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), and National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS); and preparing for vital events accreditation.
