Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage, coordinate and perform the full life cycles of internal audits, including scoping, testing, deficiency confirmation and reporting for audits that cover financial, operational and technology risks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coordinate and perform financial (SOX 404) and operational audits of business functions and processes to ensure the integrity of controls over financial reporting in accordance with the applicable accounting and auditing standards.
  • Be the subject matter expert, perform individually or in a team, all phases of audits including planning, fieldwork, reporting results and performing subsequent follow-up procedures.
  • Develop and update audit programs used for each and every audit
  • Assess exposure resulting from ineffective internal controls and provide recommendations to management via oral presentations on how to address identified control deficiencies.
  • Take the lead in preparing draft audit reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Complete internal audit assignments within agreed timeline and scope
  • Assure self and team member fully comply with internal audit methodologies and critical auditing steps
  • Support the development and use of audit analytics using analytical tools (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Provide direction to staff auditor as requested by audit management and be a mentor to junior members of the team
  • Work cross-functionally with other members of the company (Commercial, Supply Chain, etc.) and build rapport and influence while maintaining effective working relationships with management at all levels.
  • Participate in other audits and projects (ESG, Cyber Security, Enterprise Risk Management, etc.) as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of public accounting / internal audit experience in publicly traded companies.
  • CPA or CIA certificate is required or being actively pursued.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with global, manufacturing and/or Life Science medical device companies is preferred
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, US GAAS, SOX 404, Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • SAP ERP experience is a plus
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve results; Experience with PowerBI is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; active listening, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, fact finder skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong inherent time management and project execution skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Able to comply with the company's safety and quality policy at all times

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Sedentary - exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met
