What's the job?

The Shared Services Master Data [SSMD] team maintains data for all CertainTeed business units in North America and Canada.

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of master data within several business units. As a Senior Data Analyst you will evaluate procedures, work instructions and data workflows to improve on the quality of service provided to our customers, as well as provide directions, motivation and support to the data control analyst within your group.

  • Reviews and approves mass data update files for assigned business units
  • Ensures all Quality Work Instructions are up to date and conducts training for new users.
  • Validates new master data requests to ensure they comply with the business unit's current approval matrix.
  • Ensures that all data maintenance is compliance with the department's standard operating procedures as well as the Saint-Gobain Internal Control Standards.
  • Monitors Livelink workflow to ensure timely processing
  • Validates, approves and submits material master maintenance data configuration requests.
  • Prepares monthly KPIs and monthly data validation reports for department manager
  • Analyze a high volume of data to identify inconsistencies and resolve them effectively.

Efficient and effective execution in the above areas impact profitability, sales and customer satisfaction. Failure to maintain these information systems may result in customer dissatisfaction (late deliveries), loss of revenue, errors in financial accounting and reporting (inaccurate billing relationships), etc.

What do you bring?

Education-Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience in the following fields: Data processing, Computer Science, Information Management

Experience-

  • 3 to 4 years' master data processing
  • Must possess strong analytical skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience or completed training
  • Strong proficiency in SAP ERP systems and PC applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Visio and Power Point.
