DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days a week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them to participate in exciting activities, you will play a huge role in their day. Through this day to day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.

This position is a starting step to a Nurse Aide position. Upon completion of an 8-hour training course and successfully passing the competency exam, the 16 hour classroom course, and an 80 hour orientation program you would promote into a Nurse Aide position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and 3rd shift 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, both with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule will include rotating days and weekends, and will vary during training.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • This position is located in Scranton, Lackawanna County. Pennsylvania. You must be willing to work in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
  • Willing and able to work a full-time for the 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift, including rotating days and weekends. This schedule will be implemented after certification is obtained, following an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift classroom orientation.
  • Willingness to complete an 8-hour online training course prior to hire.
  • Experience in the care of care of geriatric or physically ill individuals.
  • Be 18 years old or older.
  • Earned a high school diploma or equivalent.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
