Overview

This entry level position requires the ability to work with gages, visual standards, and sampling plans. The position also requires maintaining necessary charts, records of inspection and line patrol inspections.

Major Position Responsibilities
    Inspect various component parts on line and at final inspection according to process sheets using a variety of test equipment.
  • Perform in line testing and process verifications such as hardness, pressure, time and temperature and magnetic particle.
  • Know and perform sampling plans for continuous and/or static inspection procedures.
  • Select inspection samples and perform inspection according to approved procedures.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming or questionable material and present inspected lot for customer approval.
  • Accurately record information on inspection attribute sheets and other inspection forms. Maintain inspection attribute sheet records in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Perform special functional tests at the discretion of the supervisor or manager.
  • Ensure that all gauges are valid for use, including calibration.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Interface with customer personnel as situations warrant
  • Ensure all inspection process documentation and drawings are valid and current, including latest revision level.
  • Actively participate in team meetings
  • Utilize statistical techniques to analyze inspection data
Basic Qualifications
  • GED or High School diploma.
  • SPC competency.
  • Physical activity may include occasional lifting and material movement to another location, up to 50 lbs.
