As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will provide the proper settling, biological oxidation, digestion, and disinfection of the center wastewater and sludge by reading meters and gauges as well as operating skimmers, scum breakers, sludge pumps, filter pumps, filters, digesters, and chlorinators. This includes laboratory monitoring and record keeping. As part of the center's stay-behind maintenance team, you will continue operations after the facility closure and ensure the production of a wastewater effluent of sufficient quality to meet requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) discharge permit issued by the Department of Environmental Resources.
