In this position, you will perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several trades, both indoors and outdoors, to keep the buildings and grounds safe for residents, staff, and visitors. You will utilize your skills in the carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and electrical trades to perform tasks in the daily upkeep and long-term maintenance of the facility. Your duties will include repairing doors and furniture; installing and repairing roofs, flashing, and gutters; preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces; installing and repairing various plumbing and electrical fixtures; maintaining heating and cooling systems; performing masonry work; mowing grass and removing snow; and fabricating frames as well as hanging drywall.
