The Project Coordinator, in the Department of Health Services Administration and Policy in the College of Public Health, will be a key team member on a project funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and led by Dr. Ilene Hollin, Project Lead. The project coordinator will be devoted to planning and organizing a convening event to identify patient-centered outcomes research and comparative effectiveness research priorities in the pulmonary fibrosis community.

This is a contract funded position and will be paid hourly.

Essential functions: Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the project coordinator will support project implementation and be responsible for coordinating project activities, including patient and stakeholder engagement activities; The project coordinator will prepare materials for, organize and attend project meetings, and communicate effectively with project stakeholders between meetings. As required, this may include technology assistance for stakeholders; Effective communication with the PI, community partners, university support staff, and other researchers is also required. The project coordinator will help develop and format project deliverables such as progress reports and presentations; The project coordinator will help ensure that project milestones are met in accordance with project timelines. The project coordinator will perform other duties as assigned; The project coordinator will help plan a virtual convening event of patient, caregivers, clinicians and researchers; Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience: The project coordinator will hold at least a bachelor's degree in public health or other social or behavioral sciences and have at least 2 years' experience in a healthcare or research setting that includes interaction with patients and/or families. A master's degree is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
*Proficient with MS Office software including database programs and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom or Microsoft Teams)
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholder populations, including patients, caregivers, and clinicians
*Excellent organizational skills and attentive to details, specifically with logistics
*Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to timelines
*Knowledge of healthcare outcomes research, patient-centered outcomes research, and/or comparative effectiveness research
*Experience with interacting with patient populations

Preferred:
*Experience with virtual event planning

This is a grant funded position.
