Opportunity Overview: Material Handler - 18-month contract - New Stanton, PA

The Material Handler is responsible for warehouse activities and supports the shipping/receiving, storeroom, and facilities teams as needed. This position is an 18-month contract at the New Stanton facility with potential to convert to a permanent role with Westinghouse.

What your day-to-day looks like:

  • Arrange, store, and retrieve warehouse items and maintain accurate location records in SAP, Microsoft Excel, or other systems.
  • Load, wrap, and mark or label stock or equipment on pallets.
  • Follow organization packaging standards of quality and national standards ofpackagingbest-practices.
  • Package material securely for shipment according to Purchase Order/Sales Order specifications and any other special packaging requirements or procedures.
  • Interface with internal customers and external suppliers on a daily basis.
  • Monitor supply inventory and request replacement supplies as required.
  • Process and handle incoming mail and supply orders ensuring proper routing, labeling, and receipt notification.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Provide facilities and/or other warehouse support as needed.
  • Assist delivery drivers with unloading or loading of freight.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and maintain fork truck and other equipment certifications and trainings.
  • Assist in Storeroom as required to provide back up support to arrange, store, or retrieve material.

What we need to see from you:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years working experience in a warehouse environment working with inventory control.
  • Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
  • SAP experience preferred.
