THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Facility Reimbursement Technician for the Department of Human Services, you will be responsible for determining and recording the financial resources of each client or legally liable entity. You will also be responsible for preparing assessment of liability and dunning of delinquencies. In this role, you will apply for or request that others apply for benefits on behalf of each eligible client. You will also investigate and record financial resources of every client admitted, readmitted, transferred between care levels, or whose eligibility for benefits is being re-determined at the facility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to (1) or (2) days per week during training and then up to (4) days per week after successful completion of the training period. There will be in-office days, as needed, for meetings, trainings, or as assigned by supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Danville.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience involving public contact work in the billing and collection of financial accounts or debts; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training. Completion of college-level work with major course work in business administration, finance, accounting, health care management, or a related field may be substituted for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
