In this role, you will focus on overseeing and managing the Financial Aid program at the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center. Work includes directing and advising students and parents on the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application. This will include providing technical assistance, reviewing applications for accuracy, interpreting tax forms, and communicating directly with Federal and State Financial Aid agencies. You must maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and institutional regulations governing student financial aid. You will have the opportunity to represent the Financial Aid Office in multidisciplinary team meetings and conduct Center tours for prospective students, guests, and professionals. Additional responsibilities include:
- Completing the annual budget
- Allocating Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants to eligible students
- Serving as a Veteran's Administration Certifying Official
- Coordinating annual training for the Consultant for Financial Aid staff, Counselors, and Educational Supervisors
- Drafting new and modifying existing financial aid policies, procedures, and practices
- Maintaining and reviewing student files for completeness and accuracy
- Compiling and disseminating all reporting data to Accounting staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 1 day a week, upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Johnstown.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
