As a Registration and Scheduling Specialist, you will be the initial point of contact for patients entering Main Line Health System and ensure that exceptional customer service is met. You will be responsible for the data entry and the verification of all patient demographic and financial information ensuring it is correct and current for each visit, as well as scheduling appointments. You will have the opportunity to work in multiple registration areas including decentralized areas as well as Inpatient, Outpatient Registration, Central Scheduling, ED Registration and Reception. Position: Registration Scheduling Specialist
Shift: Per Diem, as needed

Experience:
1. Minimum of two year's registration experience in a medical setting is preferred.
2. Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applications is required.
3. Experience working with billing and financial data preferred.
4. Two years working in customer service is required.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
6. Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement contracts preferred.

Education:
1. Knowledge of medical terminology.
2. Extensive knowledge of registration and pre-admissions procedures.
3. Ability to audit financial reports and perform revision procedures.
4. Excellent customer service and computer skills.
5. Ability to prioritize and to work independently.
6. Knowledge of legal aspects of Access Services, including state and federal regulations regarding Patient Access, as well as living wills, advanced directives, organ donation, and other hospital responsibilities preferred.
