Job Summary:

The General Ledger Accountant's primary function is to complete all assignments necessary to assure an accurate and timely monthly accounting close and to maintain an analysis of general ledger accounts to assure each is fairly stated.

This position will support the accounting and finance team with ad-hoc analysis and support focusing on sales, revenue & expense activity on both a team and business unit level.

This position is located in the Clear Channel Airports headquarters in Allentown PA, interacts with remote locations and Corporate Headquarters in TX.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit numerous general ledger journal entries to Corporate by the accounting close deadline in order to close the books each month accurately and timely
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in excel for assigned business units (domestic and Caribbean) to assure each account is fairly stated.
  • Additional reporting and analysis as needed in addition to reconciliations
  • Respond to all questions relative to above. Questions can arise from anyone in Allentown, Corporate San Antonio, and Caribbean markets.
  • Work with G/L Accountant - Airports Lease Analyst to support the Airport payment process including reporting and audit reviews and provide backup as needed.
  • Work with Corporate San Antonio, Airport Business Development and Finance to streamline and assure accurate reporting for Bond and Letter of Credits.
  • Preparation of ad hoc analysis for numerous revenue producing business units
  • Review and approve Accounts Payable invoice payments through 3rd party.
  • Work with Finance Team with Budget preparation and resolve accounting issues

Job Qualifications

Education and Certifications

  • Minimum 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of general ledger accounting & account analysis

Skills

  • Must have ability to learn and use company systems and be willing to explore and develop processes to contribute to enhanced departmental efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of tax terminology/procedures helpful
  • Self Starter -ability to work independently and effectively in fast paced environment within a multi-functional team with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication required - written and verbal.
  • Able to exercise initiative and independent judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints - must possess excellent time-management and analytical skills, be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible and can prioritize and modify workload as needed
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel (high proficiency required), Outlook (Quattro & Workday, Adaptive, PeopleSoft are a plus).
  • Familiarity with Shared Service Centers, Drop Box, Asset system knowledge, ERP systems and 3rd party vendor/systems for Analysis are a plus.

  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
