Job Description


The Department of Bioengineering in the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a Visiting Faculty Lecturer position for the Summer term (the starting date of the program will be around May 2024; the end date of the program will be around August 2024 with full-time hours). The position is outside of the tenure stream and has the potential to be reappointed for future summers. This position involves the management of a summer camp program for middle and high school students. The program requires mentorship of undergraduates, curriculum design, didactic instruction, and community outreach. Minimum qualifications are a BS degree in a STEM field with teaching experience. A commitment to diversity and inclusion along with strong connections to underrepresented communities in Pittsburgh is a plus.
