Laboratory Research Technician



The Department of Bioengineering is seeking a Laboratory Research Technician in their 7 Tesla Bioengineering Research Program. The position will have the responsibility of performing imaging research, including a state of the art 7 Tesla Human MRI scanner, screening and consenting research participants, and assisting in the coordination of research projects.


Job Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.


Essential Functions

Ability to speak clearly for telephone contact, have manual dexterity to use equipment, and to walk to various locations throughout the campus.


Physical Effort

Generally sedentary, however, this position does require incumbent to occasionally visit industry or other locations throughout the campus. May occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
