Earn $72,000/year

Position Details

The team leader will establish, administer, and direct the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) staff, who provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients with severe and persistent mental illness

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with appropriate psychiatric support.
  • Ensure excellence in the services provided to program consumers.
  • Function as a practicing clinician on the team.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

ACT teams are composed of professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, mental health professionals, substance abuse professionals, employment specialists, housing specialists, and a peer specialist, all of whom collaborate to provide complete services including therapy, medication management and resource linkage to adult individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). Services are provided in the individual's home or the community and include at least three home visits a week.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Masters' Degree in the human services field of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, or Psychology.
  • Supervisory and program management experience is required.
  • License eligible.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
  • Clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
  • Knowledgeable about the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model.
