Key Role Description
The MIPC I&E Specialist performs installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and system development for all pipeline and terminal assets including motor controls, distributive controls, PLC's, communications systems, and technical issues that may arise. Must be available 24/7 to support the operations of pipelines and terminals.

Role Specific Competencies

Technical Knowledge - demonstrates the specific skills necessary for the assignments, understands the background and points of leverage to be effective in the role.
* Oversees and performs maintenance in support of operations for pipeline and terminal facilities.
* Maintains scheduled preventative maintenance programs on instrumentation and electrical equipment.
* Ensures the completion regulatory PM program critical instrumentation and safety set points involved with Control Room and Terminal Operations.
* Ensures the completion of all point-to-point testing is completed and thoroughly documented.
* Performs minor and major electrical maintenance.
* Orders electrical and electronic parts as needed.
* Oversees contractors and performs troubleshooting and pushes issues to appropriate person for resolution.
* Proactively manages preventative maintenance projects and repairs for the pipeline system.
* Performs and records regulatory and Company preventative maintenance inspections.
* Utilizes equipment manuals and schematics during the troubleshooting, installation, start-up and design of new systems and equipment.
* Proactively maintains replacement critical equipment and components needed.
* Maintains a high level of knowledge relating to new and current technology and equipment.
* Implements company policies, standards, drawings, diagrams and construction specifications for the installation of new facilities and the repair or upgrade of existing facilities.
* Trains Maintenance, Operations personnel and others in the use of new or modified equipment.
* Makes recommendations concerning the proper use and types of equipment for new projects.
* Provides feedback on project design to engineering as required.
* Maintains equipment records and furnish documentation per Company policy of work performed (As-builts, Preventative Maintenance List, and Work Order Requests).
* Assists with routine operations and maintenance of pipeline responsibilities as required.
* Responsible for troubleshooting I&E equipment
* Available 24/7 for emergency and troubleshooting calls

Experience and Skills

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
* 10 years of oil and gas technical and maintenance experience in a high-risk industry with prior trouble shooting experience.
* Associate's degree in a technical field (Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical) or equivalent work experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
* Demonstrated proficiency in all of Role Specific Competencies.
