Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for a multi-disciplinary scope of work focused on discovering and securing grant funding in support of County initiatives. Supported by an experienced team of staff, the incumbent will be tasked with managing research, analysis, presentation, communication, applications, compliance, and reporting for grant funding programs sources including but not limited to federal and state governments, regional authorities, and private philanthropies. This position represents a renewed focus by Montgomery County management to provide professional resources accessible to all County departments in support of grant revenue enabling new and existing County programs. As such, the Grant Manager will work collaboratively with Department Heads and external partners to connect new revenue opportunities to County operational objectives, and will manage the processes required to review, plan, apply, receive, and report on grant funds.
