Job Description

Primary Function:

The Administrative Coordinator IV is responsible for operational management of the Gait Laboratory and direct administrative support to the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Chair.

Gait Laboratory

With minimal oversight, provide support for the clinical operations of the Gait Laboratory. Must be able to handle all aspects of front and back-office functions with an emphasis on patient scheduling and physician schedule optimization. Responsible for obtaining patient demographic and insurance information, verifying insurance, obtaining /verifying referrals and obtaining all necessary pre-certifications. As a front-line employee the coordinator must provide superior customer service and always look to solve patient issues presented to them. Excellent prioritization, decision-making, and multi-tasking skills are essential in this key position.

Administrative Support

Coordinator will manage Chairrsquo;s non-clinical schedule to include arranging meetings and conferences, travel, Orthotics Course, IME, Lectures, Legal work, and CME. Excellent prioritization, decision-making, and multi-tasking skills are essential in this key position. Must be able to problem solve on own while keeping management informed of operational issues and opportunities.

This position requires providing service to Adults and Adolescents in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Education/Training/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, related work-experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required. Exceptional Customer Service practices a must. Must possess knowledge/familiarity with general office functions and procedures including ICD-10 codes, CPT coding, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations. Experience using a computer in an office setting and the ability to verbally communicate information to staff and patients in a professional customer focused manner required. Spelling, grammar, and telephone etiquette skills are required.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
